Kenneth Carr has led the preparation of complex cases including a case of aircraft hijacking in London as well as a wide range of other highly sensitive cases including international terrorism, international drug and fraud cases.
Kenneth Carr notably represented clients in a major fraud case involving £ 350 million. He also acted in the largest ever counterfeiting case in the UK which led the Government to change the designs of the ten and twenty pound notes.
Kenneth Carr currently represents a Guantanamo detainee awaiting trial before a Military Commission facing the death penalty in cases in the United Kingdom and Europe.
In civil matters, he regularly advises companies and individuals on the civil law aspects of frauds, in particular revenue frauds. He is also involved in advising companies operating in conflict zones in the field of corporate social responsibility.
Kenneth Carr specializes as well in data protection issues involving the right to be forgotten, extradition and Interpol Red Notices.
Kenneth Carr is frequently asked to advise or represent lawyers throughout the world on UK law and procedure. He is the co-author of The Law Society’s Handbook of Road Traffic Law. In 2010, he was appointed as Recorder of Crown Court. He regularly lectures at international conferences.
